Overview

Job Purpose; To inspect rough diamond shipments and ensure no breach to the policies and procedures of the Kimberley process certification scheme

Key Areas of Responsibility; Operational: 1. To evaluate import and export rough diamond shipments in accordance with the KPCS policies and procedures. 2. To ensure the authenticity of the Kimberley Process Certificates upon imports 3. To coordinate with the clients and clearing agents for proper documentation and any discrepancies in the shipment prior import and export. 4. To maintain accuracy in clearing shipments with no delays. 5. To collaborate with KP Participant countries. 6. To report any suspicious activities to the KP Manager 7. To ensure compliance of the traders with the Kimberley Process policies and procedures Customer Focus: 1. To educate and train new traders on the complete policies and procedures of the UAE KP Office 2. To assist walk in clients 3. Responsible for giving response upon customers complains, as well as giving the solution 4. Responding promptly to customer enquiries in person or via telephone, letter, and e-mail always in a professional & efficient manner Education: Higher Diploma in diamond evaluation. Experience: 2-5 years in diamond evaluation.
