Lifeguard cum Teaching Assistant

Job Description

We are looking to hire an experienced Lifeguard with an interest to also work as a Teaching Assistant to be a part of our team.As a Lifeguard you are responsible to monitor activities in the swimming area to prevent accidents and provide assistance to children across different age groups, whereby your role will include key responsibilities as: Conduct swimming lessons for children across different age groups.Rescue children in danger of drowning and administer first aid.Provide emergency care and treatment as required until the arrival of emergency medical services.Determine the chlorine content and PH value of water, using water testing kit.Ensure the swimming pool and the area surrounding the pool is clean.Regularly check the temperature of the pool to ensure they are at set standard.Ensure the pool deck is clean and free of any debris during the operation and carry out general pool cleaning & maintenance activities of the pool at regular intervals.As a Teaching Assistant you are responsible for the following roles & responsibilities: Assist lead teachers in daily nursery activities.Handling of the class and maintenance & cleaning of classroom and other significant areas on a daily basis. In addition to implementing learning experiences that advance the intellectual, emotional, social and physical development of children within a safe, healthy learning environment, the Teacher Assistant is responsible for maintaining a clean and tidy classroom, assisting children in feeding and toileting and making sure the needs of each individual child is being met. Candidate Specifications: • Female Indian, Filipina or Sri Lankan candidates only.• Minimum 2-3 years of work experience as a Lifeguard with an interest to work as a Teacher Assistant.• Holding valid First Aid and CPR certification from UAE.• Strong and qualified swimmer holding valid UAE lifeguard license.• Good personality, physically strong/fit and healthy with good oral and written communication and presentation skills.• Capability to interface and maintain effective relationships in a team-orientated environment especially dealing with children.
