On the rim of the lid the words, I love any discourse of rivers and fishing, quote by Izaak Walton, 1593-1683, commemorating Walton who wrote The Complete Angler, one of the three most published books in English Literature.. This rare enamel box is decorated with colourful illustrations of perch, common carp, roach, pike. Made from either porcelain or enamel.
